Quick fixes that solve the majority of setup problems.
Always fully close the game and its launcher (Steam, Epic, Riot, EA, etc.) before you start the loader. Starting the loader while the game is already running is the most common cause of a failed start. Let the loader finish, then open the game when it tells you to.
Most loaders need administrator rights. Right-click the loader and choose “Run as administrator”. If nothing happens when you double-click it, this is almost always why.
Your browser or Windows SmartScreen may block the download as "unsafe". This is a false positive (see why below). To get the file:
Why this happens: cheats modify memory, inject code and hook functions, so they share behaviour with malware like trojans or RATs. Heuristic scanning spots that "suspicious" behaviour — writing to another process's memory — and raises a red flag, even though you started it yourself and it is safe.
Turn your protection back on once the file is set up.
Security software often flags this kind of tool as a false positive and quietly quarantines it. Before downloading, add an exclusion for the folder you’ll save it in:

Once you click start, let the loader run uninterrupted until you’re back at the desktop or in-game. Do not close it, restart, or shut down mid-process — on some products this can break your boot and stop Windows from loading. If startup seems stuck, wait a few minutes before touching anything.

Disable PC PIN password and BitLocker BEFORE using Ancient products. Disabling TPM and Hyper-V with new Windows builds can cause issues getting back into your PC with a PIN enabled.
Before launching the loader, complete ALL steps below:
❌ Disable Windows Real-Time Protection
❌ Disable Windows Defender (use Sordum DControl)
❌ Uninstall ALL antivirus software (not just disable)
❌ Disable ALL startup apps
❌ Disable Exploit Protection
❌ Disable any overlays other than the one you are using for this product.

Most issues come from:
Hyper-V not fully disabled
Antivirus still active
Wrong BIOS settings
Open CMD as administrator and enter:
bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype auto
Disable and re-enable the GeForce overlay.
Press the Sonar bind before launching so the overlay activates.
Open SteelSeries → Settings → Moments → Capture and Sound → Turn off "Allow Moments to Capture While Gaming".

Reinject. If that doesn't help, run the overlay as administrator.
Install the library from: https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x64.exe
Convert the disk to GPT and the BIOS to UEFI.
Reinject.
Problem with your internet connection. Check your connection and try again. If using VPN, try disabling it.
The driver was installed incorrectly. Reboot and try again. If in an internet cafe and the error recurs, try another PC. If it doesn't help, clean autorun programs. Download Autoruns (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/autoruns) and disable non-system startup programs. In some cases, drivers for deleted programs may remain in the system.
Turn off all protection and remove all anti-cheats and antiviruses from your PC. If it doesn't help, clean autorun programs.
Uninstall Vanguard/FaceIT anti-cheat from your PC.
The processor does not support AES instruction set. This cannot be fixed.
Enter BIOS and search for "Intel Virtualization Technology" / "Intel VT-X" / "AMD-V" / "SVM mode" and enable it.
Go to Control Panel → Programs → Enable or Disable Windows Features and ensure "Virtual Machine Platform" and "Hyper-V" are disabled.
If the error persists, open CMD as administrator:
bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off
Then restart.
For Windows 11 users, if previous methods didn't help, run PowerShell as administrator and insert commands listed below one by one:

Turn off the spoofer or turn off RAID in BIOS settings with a complete reinstallation of Windows.
Convert the OS disk to GPT format using the mbr2gpt tool built into Windows or another disk management utility. Switch BIOS from Legacy mode to UEFI mode.
For desktop PCs: the graphics card is old and unsupported. For laptops: disable the built-in graphics card in BIOS.
Open CMD as administrator and run these commands:
wmic diskdrive get Caption, SerialNumber
wmic baseboard get SerialNumber
If any command fails with an error, something is wrong with your PC. Try reinstalling Windows.
SVM [AMD] / VT-X [INTEL] (BIOS) enabled. 16GB RAM (or more). Hyper V disabled for AMD CPU only. Secure Boot enabled.
